Okay! This is the second version of my official dragon. The first one was not colored. This one is. I have been taking tutorials and practicing, correcting all of the mistakes I have commited before, in order to improve. This is the result of last night's pracice on coloring. It is really not that good. I was in a hurry. It was late and I was tired. I will fix it later!

That is so very pretty! I love how it's in the spectrum of the warmer colors. It really adds to the dragonic effect overall. You have a terrific talent as a painter and artist!

Wow, that's really good. One thing I could never get the hang of was drawing dragons . . . . What did you use to color it?

Thanks! I was not expecting so good criticism. XD
I painted it with Photoshop tools. Specially the airbrush and burn tools. I used 3 layers. One was the original, colorless drawing. The other was a copy of the drawing in which I added the colors so that I won't screw the original's lines and details. The last layer was used for the background color and effects, in which I just used the gradient and stroke effects.

I've been using Photoshop for a while now, but I'm still not really good (or knowledgeable). How does the burn tool work?

When you put your cursor using the burn tool over some colored part of an image, it darkens that color. It is good for shading.
