seems like nowadays the number of Atheists are growing.. Da Vinci though, he was extremely religious (as if you didn't know that) many if not most artists in history were religiously influenced... but like i said earlier in this thread, what amazes me about Da Vinci, was his ability to design inventions. Here is an excerpt from a Leonardo da Vinci site. Leonardo's fascination with science led him down many dead-ends, but also to quite a few useful discoveries. da Vinci is credited with a number of inventions that were firsts for his time, including some so far ahead of his time that they wouldn't actually be built for centuries. They include:
- The jack, the same device that you use today to change a tire
- Roller bearings, a ball-bearing driven axle that is extremely similar to what cars use today
- The one-man printing press
- Mechanical transmissions, i.e. the gear system used in everything from ten-speeds to automobiles
- The odometer

. . . bah. No offense, but I'm definately not religious enough for something like that. ^.^;;; While The Da Vinci Code does reference a lot of religious theories and practices, it is--and foremost--a fictional story. It makes a lot of assumptions concerning Mary Magdaline, which have been shot down by many. The History Channel has done many documentaries(most of which are replayed often) featuring da Vinci and The Da Vinci Code. You don't have to be religious to find the book interesting. It was well-written, fast-paced, and intriguing. As far as the homosexual thing, wikipedia.org (which is apparently accepted at Harvard, according to my Lit. teacher) says: Link: Wikipedia.org on da VinciIn any case, please don't let Leonardo da Vinci's sexual and religious preferences scare you off. The guy's probably one of the most well-known artists ever. It's worth the time to look at his work (some of which can be found at the link above).

And amen to that ^; Until anyone genuinely choose to be gay, choose to genuinely fall in love with a guy, and GENUINELY enjoy another guys company like that, don't disapprove, its like telling a black person they should be white
