Well guys, here's some pictures of my favorite horses ever... you know why they are my favorite? Because they are mine! ^.^ I finally dug up some old pictures I took this past year and thought I would share them with you. I've got loads more if your interested in looking at them...well heres a few of them now:
This is Harly Attitude, known as Harly for short. He is a 16 hh (hh stands for hands high, and every hand measurment equils 4 inches) black (even though he looks slightly brow in one picture) Thoroughbred/Draft and is very unpredictable, but is pretty okay. I don't really like this horse too much, but that's okay because he is technically my mothers. He he...well heres one of him laying down in the dirt. It was cloudy out that day so the lighting is weird, plus his coat is caked in mud and grime.
Here is the big guy (after a summer of the sun bleeching his nice black coat) when I was trying to get pictures of him at a nice brisk pace, with a really slow recording digital camera. -sigh- It didn't turn out too well but I love it anyway...something about it's off balence akwardness that draws me to it. Oh well, here's Harley again. Atleast the flowers look pretty. >.<
Now here is my little pony dubbed Star Princess, known as Princess for short. She was an abused case and my grandfather bought her from a horse collector whom was going to bring her to auction to be sold as horse meat. She has been in my care for about a year and a half, and now her "issues" from the abuse have almost faded completely. She is so well now that we are able to sell her without too much worry. Although I do regret letting her go, but she needs a home that will take care of her every day, and I cannot give her all the attention she deserves now. I can barly take care of my own horse to what he deserves (you will see his picture soon). Now here is Star Princess. (Can you believe a 5' 5" person such as myself road this 12.2 hh pony over a 2 foot jump?)
I do love this pony, I think she is just so adorable and sweet. I mean look at that face!!
Now here is my pride and joy. This is my 15.3hh tank of a horse, registered American Paint Horse gelding, Jetalito Scribbles. He is the greatest horse in the world! He will do anything I ask him without a second glance, he love to race around in the fields and is so full of energy and life (most of the time). I love this horse with all my heart, in a way a being can love another species. He and I have been together for almost 7 years now, and I even got him when he was in a serious case of neglect. He was over 350 pounds underweight, had no energy or pride, and was only 4 years old. Now he is a nice, very fit, very energetic, 1200 pound horse. We love to do gymkannas (speed games on horseback) and go on long trail rides, racing through the forests and galloping through the open fields. The best part is I don't even have to ask him to do anything... he does it all on his own. He trusts and respects me to no end, and I the same for him. I love this horse so much that I cam taking him to college with me. JETTIE, I LOVE YOU!!! Herse a picture of him I took, then fallows one thats of me and him together that my friend took.
I just love the way this picture looks, I mean the sun is shining off of him so perfectly and I just love it! He is high and alert, but still resting that one back foot. The grass is green and everything seems just very balenced....and there was no digital enhancement! WOOT!!
Heres the one of me and him together. Look at us go!! ^.^
