So I got to mess with Chemicals this past Monday to develop my film into negatives, right? Turns out the camera I was using had a sticky shutter and over-exposed the film. I have a beautiful strip of blank debeloped film negatives. So sad. *le sigh* The good part; I now have another excuse to walk up to the graveyard! lol So I can get more pictures. But yeah, the moral of this story is that you should always have old cameras cleaned and checked for this kind of stuff before using them. Although... Mom did buy me a new camera just in case anyways... lol But yeah, now you know.

Awww, I hate film messups. Mine are usually from the chemicals being horrible. T_T Too bad.

Well, I don't think Ms. Mierzwa will allow bad film chemicals into ehr room. I hope! o.o That would be nice. My teacher (Nabi is her name-o) never checks the chemicals so we always have to and about 1/4 times it is bad. I find it rather shocking since we get penalized for it.

Wow that sucks! yeah, now that I think about it, Ms. M told us that if the chemicals are bad to dump them and she'll order more. She doesn't want us to ruin the photos over it. I guess my teacher might just be a bit more laid back than yours, ne?

Yeah, my teacher is very...how should I put this...strict. >_< I even have her for yearbook and she makes the editors (I am included) do all of the work. She expects us to know everything, but in reality we don't.

Wow, that royally sucks. Is there anyway you guys could change this? Such as getting parents involved, or going to the administration? Could you petition? Anything at all? Because it sounds as if something needs to be done in this kind of situation.
As for Yearbook, you could stop the press and refuse to work until everyone was doing something; not just the editors. And if she gets angry, just calmly explain your position to her, and that you can't do everything. That your editing team is for revision, not creation. It might help.

Yeah, I guess I should try that stuff. She's been around for about 15 years and I think that was long enough. lol. She's a grandmother for crying out loud! She should be in retirement or something.
NEways, to get back on the topic: My friend accidentally opened the camera without rolling her film in today so she lost everything. I guess this stuff happens typically to even the best (this person gets like the best grades in the class).

Wow! Are you serious? That poor girl. We all make mistakes, it's part of being human after all. But if you think that's bad, try this one one. You are going to laugh 'till you cry. My teacher, when she was in college, had a friend. And this friend was uber careful about spending. Well, they had to buy their own paper and stuff for printing; and 100 sheets is like $75. So this girl took out the paper in BROAD DAYLIGHT and counted it to make sure she got her money's worth! Ruined ALL of the paper in the process, and had to buy more. Some people are just foolish. So, let your friend know that at least she made a minor and inexpensive oops. lol It might brighten her mood a bit.

Now that's just plain tragic. $75 down the drain..unless she wants to draw on them.
